Michael Brammer BSc PhD
Senior Consultant Analyst
Michael graduated from the
University of Leeds with a
1st class honours degree in
Biochemistry in 1970 and
received his PhD in
Neurochemistry in 1974 for
work on exchange of
phospholipids between brain
membranes. He moved from
neurochemistry to
neuroimaging in the mid
1990s and founded the Brain
Image Analysis Unit at the
Institute of Psychiatry
(Kings College London) in
1996. He was appointed
Professor of Neuroimaging in
2000, Professor of Imaging
at the Institute for
Advanced Transdisciplinary
Research, Minas Gerais,
Brazil in 2002 and Fellow of
the Brazilian Academy of
Sciences in 2006 for his
work on Anglo-Brazilian
science collaboration over a
period of 15 years. Michael
has published around 300
peer-reviewed papers in
virtually all the major
journals in his areas of
research. As well as being a
Co-Founder, he is a senior
analyst for the company and
specialises in the use of
pattern
recognition/classification
techniques to study product
responses and brand
identification in
neuromarketing.
