Electroencephalography (EEG)

EEG provides a shallow recording of electrical activity along the scalp from the firing of neurons in the brain, and generates good readings for time-related (sequence of brain activity) issues such as would be important in TV advertising testing to identify which frames impact maximally on the consumer. The technique offers the advantage of portability and economy thus making the evaluation of large sample sizes viable for first-pass 'screening' assessments.
